GENERAL AFFAIR SUPERVISOR

PROPERTY: INDOFOOD FUNCTION ROOMS

JOB FUNCTION
- Responsible for overseeing the entire event assigned (set-up, staffing, food, AV)

- Inspect the scheduled function area/room for cleanliness, working condition and proper furniture/equipment set up; rectify any deficiencies with respective departments

- Meet group coordinator/host prior to function, make introduction and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable

- Exhibit proper knowledge of Beverages and Menu items

- Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately

- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

- Bachelor Degree Management Hotel / Hospitality Industry

- At least three years previous experience at a major as a Banquet Supervisor

- Four plus years previous catering and banquet experience

- Working knowledge of all beverage product, menu items and kitchen equipment

- Knowledge about all health and safety regulations

- Good communication skills

- Ability to read and write in English

- Flexible work schedule

- Excellent organizational skills with ability to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail

- Effective listening abilities and be able to make strong judgment calls

- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, and other employees while working under pressure and meeting deadlines

- Ability to work in a climate controlled environment
